Addyson Toguchi Mackay

Hey I'm Addyson!

​I'm a bi-coastal performing artist currently based in Boston, MA, where I am pursuing my BFA in Musical Theater at Boston Conservatory at Berklee!

​

Born and raised in sunny Laguna Beach, CA, I spent my early childhood reenacting the entirety of The Little Mermaid for patrons (passing strangers) at the beach, directing my friends in full-length (well, whatever length our recess break allowed) productions on the playground, and repeatedly watching musical numbers from Glee online.

My passion for performing led me to Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where I began studying Musical Theater and discovered my love for more creative ventures, such as directing and developing original works. 

As a half-Japanese American artist, my identity has heavily shaped the performer I am and the stories I love to tell. It continues to drive me in advocacy work for representation for fellow Asian-American actors.

Offstage, you can find me spending most of my time at the gym or on the beach, reading some good old classic literature (while plotting a way to develop it for the stage), and still obsessively watching and quoting Glee.
